Short answer: the BYD Atto 3 has the bigger battery (49.92 kWh vs 45.12 kWh), the longer official range (410 km vs 380 km, NEDC) and more features, and BYD Pakistan lists it at PKR 8,990,000. The Atto 2 is the smaller, more affordable entry to BYD in Pakistan, with nearly the same cargo space and the same 30-minute fast-charge claim. If you mostly drive in and around the city, the Atto 2 covers it; if you regularly drive between cities, the Atto 3's extra range and equipment are worth a look.

Battery and range
Both cars use BYD's Blade Battery, a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) design that BYD says has passed nail-penetration and crush tests. The Atto 3's pack is 4.8 kWh larger, which buys about 30 km more official range.
Remember that NEDC range figures are measured in controlled lab conditions and are usually optimistic. BYD itself says real performance depends on driving style, speed, temperature, load and traffic. Highway speeds, air-conditioning in summer and cold winter mornings in Quetta will all reduce the distance you get, so plan longer trips with a comfortable margin.
Charging
BYD quotes the same fast-charge time for both: from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes on a suitable DC fast charger. For daily use, most owners charge overnight at home on AC power. Before buying, check what charging you can install at home and where fast chargers are on the routes you drive most.
Space and practicality
The two are closer in practicality than their size suggests. The Atto 2 offers 380 litres of boot space that grows to 1,320 litres with the rear seats folded; the Atto 3 offers up to 1,340 litres with the seats down and adds an electric tailgate.
The Atto 2 has a feature worth noting for Pakistan: Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), which lets the car power external equipment such as lights or a laptop. It is useful for picnics, travel and short power cuts.
Features and comfort
The Atto 3 is the better-equipped car. It adds a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric panoramic sunroof and a more premium two-tone interior. The Atto 2 keeps things practical with phone-as-key NFC entry, a 50 W wireless charging pad, electrically adjustable seats and a driver-assistance system as standard.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Atto 2 if you want BYD's lowest-cost way into an electric SUV, drive mostly within the city, and value V2L and a compact footprint for parking.
- Choose the Atto 3 if you drive between cities often, want the longer range and bigger battery, or want the larger screen, sunroof and more upmarket cabin.
