QuettaWheels fuel prices update

Petrol is now Rs 362.00 per litre in Pakistan, down Rs 7.06 from Rs 369.06. High-speed diesel fell Rs 3.71 to Rs 387.81 per litre. The new prices took effect on 5 November 2026.

New fuel prices at a glance

Fuel Old price (per litre) New price (per litre) Change
Petrol Rs 369.06 Rs 362.00 − Rs 7.06
High-speed diesel Rs 391.52 Rs 387.81 − Rs 3.71

Why prices came down

  • Global oil got cheaper. Brent crude fell by more than US$3, to about US$100 a barrel, just before the revision.
  • Refineries are sharing the cost. Under a 30-day arrangement, local refineries are expected to absorb about Rs 15 billion, which lowers the pump price of petrol.
  • Taxes are still heavy. The government still collects roughly Rs 114 per litre on petrol and about Rs 100 per litre on diesel in taxes and levies.

What it means for your running costs

The cut is small per litre, but it adds up for daily drivers.

Vehicle Typical fill-up Saving per fill-up
70cc / 125cc motorcycle 10 litres about Rs 71
Suzuki Alto / Cultus 30 litres about Rs 212
Corolla / Civic / Yaris 45 litres about Rs 318
Diesel pickup (Hilux, D-Max) 70 litres about Rs 260

Savings are simple arithmetic: litres × price cut. Actual savings depend on how much you drive.

For a Quetta commuter who fills an 800cc–1000cc hatchback four times a month, that's roughly Rs 850 saved a month. Goods transporters on the N-25 and N-40 get a smaller benefit, because diesel fell by only about half as much as petrol.

Will car and bike prices change?

Not directly. Fuel prices affect running costs, not the sticker price of new vehicles. Cheaper fuel does tend to lift demand for bigger-engine used cars, though. If you're selling a 1300cc–1800cc car, it's a reasonable moment to list it.
