Honda CD 70 Review 2026: Price, Mileage, Specs and Who Should Buy
The Honda CD 70 is listed at Rs 159,900 and suits buyers who want a low-cost, simple commuter. Its 72cc engine and kick-only start are the main trade-offs, especially on steep routes around Quetta.

The Honda CD 70 costs Rs 159,900 on Atlas Honda's website, as checked on 6 November 2026, and it remains a sensible choice if you want a simple, low-cost bike for daily commuting. Its main weaknesses are a small 72cc engine and a kick-start only design. This is a desk review based on published specifications and listed prices, not a road test.
Honda CD 70 price and key specs
Atlas Honda's 2026 update was cosmetic. INCPak reported only a new sticker design, and TechJuice described modest visual changes without mechanical upgrades. So, you are buying a familiar machine rather than a new one.
| Specification | Honda CD 70 |
|---|---|
| Listed price | Rs 159,900 |
| Engine | 72cc, 4-stroke, OHC, air-cooled |
| Transmission | 4-speed constant mesh |
| Starting | Kick start only |
| Fuel tank | 8.5 litres, including 1 litre reserve |
| Dry weight | 82 kg |
| Ground clearance | 136 mm |
| Tyres | Front 2.25-17, rear 2.50-17 |
| Colours | Blue, red and black |
Atlas Honda's page does not list engine power. PakWheels and Gari.pk show 5.1 hp, while another PakWheels article mentions about 6.4 hp, so treat the output as approximate. Registration, number plates and token tax are extra and vary by province, so ask for the total on-road cost.
What the CD 70 does well
- Low purchase price. It carries the lowest price among the motorcycles priced on Atlas Honda's homepage.
- Light and easy to handle. A dry weight of 82 kg makes it manageable in traffic, narrow streets and tight parking spaces.
- Fuel use. PakWheels and Gari.pk list 55 km per litre. That is a listed figure, and your own average will depend on load, riding style and road conditions.
- Simple ownership. There is no electric starter on this model, which also means one less system to maintain.
- Affordable routine parts. Pakera, reading Atlas Honda's online store on 24 October 2026, listed a 700 ml bottle of 20W-40 oil at Rs 860, a chain sprocket kit at Rs 2,180 and brake shoes at Rs 620. Labour and later price changes are extra.
Where it falls short
- Limited power. A 72cc engine is built for commuting, not for carrying heavy loads uphill or for fast highway riding.
- Kick start only. Some riders will find it less convenient, especially on cold mornings.
- Basic features. Do not expect modern comfort or technology at this price.
- Small tyres and modest ground clearance. The 136 mm clearance calls for care over rough patches and large speed breakers.
Estimated monthly fuel cost
These are our own estimates, not official figures. They assume 1,000 km per month and an illustrative petrol price of Rs 360 per litre. Petrol prices change often, so substitute the current rate.
| Scenario | Fuel average | Litres per 1,000 km | Estimated fuel cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| CD 70 at listed average | 55 km/l | About 18.2 | About Rs 6,545 |
| CD 70 at our cautious assumption | 45 km/l | About 22.2 | About Rs 8,000 |
| Pridor at listed average | 45 km/l | About 22.2 | About Rs 8,000 |
For a rough range guide, a full 8.5-litre tank at the listed average works out to about 465 km. Do not plan a long trip around that number.
CD 70 vs CD 70 Dream vs Pridor
| CD 70 | CD 70 Dream | Pridor | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listed price | Rs 159,900 | Rs 170,900 | Rs 211,900 |
| Engine | 72cc | 72cc | 97.1cc |
| Fuel tank | 8.5 litres | 8.6 litres | 9.7 litres |
| Dry weight | 82 kg | 82 kg | 96 kg |
| Listed average | 55 km/l | 55 km/l | 45 km/l |
| Starting | Kick | Kick | Kick |
The Dream shares the same engine size for Rs 11,000 more. PakWheels describes it as having a sportier look and a wider seat, so the extra money buys appearance and comfort, not extra engine capacity. The Pridor costs Rs 52,000 more than the CD 70. It has a larger engine and bigger tyres, which makes it worth considering if you often carry a passenger or ride longer distances.
Warranty terms should be checked at the dealer. Atlas Honda's Dream page lists 3 years or 20,000 km on the engine and 6 months or 6,000 km on the frame, body and electrical system, with online registration required at purchase. Confirm that the same terms apply to the bike you choose.
What it means for buyers in Quetta and Balochistan
Quetta sits at high altitude and has cold winters. Thin air reduces the power of a small engine, and a cold start on a kick-only bike takes more effort. For flat, short city commutes that should not be a major problem. If your daily route has steep climbs, or you regularly ride with a passenger or a heavy load, test the bike on a similar road before deciding, and compare it with a bigger model.
Before handing over money, ask the local dealer about the final price, delivery time and any charges for registration and paperwork. Get any extra charges in writing.
If your budget is tighter, browse used bikes, and check the engine number, frame number and registration papers carefully. A test ride in person is essential. Already own a bike or car you want to replace? You can sell your car free on QuettaWheels.
Our verdict
Buy the CD 70 if your priorities are a low price, simple upkeep and short daily trips. Choose the Dream if the styling and seat matter to you, and look at the Pridor if your riding regularly involves passengers, loads or longer distances. We have not road-tested the bike for this review, so a personal test ride should have the final say.
